Megan Barhorst, RYT-200

My journey with yoga started in 2014 when I attended a yoga class with a friend. What began as a fitness class to lose weight, has evolved into a life-changing experience both mentally and physically. After trying multiple styles of yoga, I found a passion for Vinyasa yoga. I enjoyed the flowing, dance-like movements that improved flexibility and strength while calming the mind. My teaching style tends to be energizing and dynamic to stretch, strengthen, detox and unwind. I completed 200 hours of teacher training under Mary Borton during the summer of 2017. When I am not practicing/teaching yoga, I work as a Behavior Support Coordinator serving kids with challenging behaviors. Teaching yoga and working with challenging behaviors has taught me the importance of the mind-body connection!

Her teaching reflects this as she teaches chair classes, beginners classes and general vinyasa classes at Yellow Tree Yoga.
