Meet Our Teachers
RYT 200, Owner of Yellow Tree Yoga
Kate is a Vinyasa Flow Yoga instructor at Yellow Tree. She finds value in the strengthening and focusing elements of Vinyasa Yoga, and enjoys the variety and freedom of movement possibilities within the practice. Kate completed 200 hours of Hatha/Vinyasa teacher training with Mary Borton and began teaching Vinyasa Flow Yoga in May of 2018. She completed Whole Body Core at the Barre teacher training with Elizabeth Silas-Havas, in 2019; and she is always continuing her education in yoga. Kate guides her classes at a moderate-quick pace, with focus on synchronizing breath and movement.
Sharon has 10 years of experience in fitness and completed 200 hours Hatha/Vinyasa Teacher Training under Mary Borton in May of 2018. She enjoys a wide variety of physical activity and weaves yoga into all forms of exercise. Sharon is an artist, makeup artist, graphic designer, wife and mother of two boys.
Susan began her yoga practice in 2012. She completed 200 hour Hatha/Vinyasa Teacher Training in May of 2018 and 200 hour EmbodiYoga® Teacher Training in June of 2019 under the direction of Mary Borton. Her emphasis is on inclusion, and making yoga accessible to all ages and abilities. Yoga is for everyone, and Susan loves helping others find a way to begin practicing, and continue. Her teaching reflects this as she teaches chair classes, beginners classes and general vinyasa classes at Yellow Tree Yoga.

Bethel completed 200 hours of Vinyasa teacher training with Elizabeth Silas in 2013. In June of 2019 she completed EmbodiYoga® training under Mary Borton. Bethel teaches gentle yoga at Yellow Tree Yoga. Her classes are breath-centered, slow, and relaxing.
Karen has been practicing yoga for the last 15 years. She loves all styles of yoga, as well as running and biking. Karen is a recently retired nurse of 51 years, and massage therapist of 25 years. She completed 200 hours of EbodiYoga® training with Mary Borton in August of 2019, and decided she would enjoy teaching yoga during retirement.
Laura completed 200 hours of Hatha/Vinyasa teacher training under Mary Borton in 2015. After mentoring for several months at Yellow Tree Yoga, Laura has settled into teaching vinyasa flow classes. She also completed 20 hours of Whole Body Core teacher training with Elizabeth Silas-Havas in October of 2019. After practicing for many years, she prefers to both practice and teach morning classes to set her day in motion from a grounded, centered and invigorated place.
Elizabeth teaches restorative yoga classes at Yellow Tree Yoga. She has been practicing yoga for over 10 years, and has successfully completed 500 hours of embodied yoga teacher training. She is a licensed massage therapist in the state of Ohio for over 20 years, and has 8 years of experience teaching yoga to children in Miami County class rooms.
Robyn leads guided meditation classes at Yellow Tree. She is a licensed speech-language pathologist, meditation and Reiki practitioner, and wellness coach. She is passionate about helping others live a healthy and happy life, through nutrition, fitness, and self-care.
